Following the deluge that always accompanies groundworks when we are building, the weather has been kind during the foundation and floor laying. As Lee said, just think of all the frogs we can stock in the huge new tackle shop.
It never rains in DevonPosted on Tue Jan 18 14:51:16 2011 Work is racing ahead with the Tackle Shop extension, now the rain has subsided. Foundations have been dug and concrete poured, with a bit of luck we'll be ready for the floor slab early next week. It's still making an awful mess, yellow clay everywhere, but it should all be worth it.

Des Taylor is joining us for the extravaganza, which as usual will include a 3 course romantic candlelit meal:- Prawn Cocktail Borshch (beetroot soup) Fruit Juice (orange) Beef Stoganoff with Rice Spanakopita (Spinach & Feta cheese pie) with Mediterranean Salad Apple Pie with Custard, or Cream Vienetta Ice cream And as usual Tom will be here with the disco to follow, returning afterwards to four poster luxury accommodation. What a MessPosted on Tue Jan 11 10:58:16 2011 Just thought a give you all a sneak preview of works going on at Anglers over the winter. Some of you might recognise thiis as the area behind the office and laundry.
Groundworks have started as you can see, to create an extension to the office and laundrette more importantly it will mean that our existing tackle shop will double in size.
I'll keep you posted as works progress New Years PartyPosted on Thu Jan 6 11:20:36 2011 Only just beginning to recover from the New Year’s party, which was one of the most enjoyable we have had, everyone commented that this one was the best one they have ever had, especially we all entered into the party spirit with a fantastic array of fancy dress. Mark and Dawn as pirates, Alan as the Incredible Hulk (who looked very real) everyone who gave him a hug ended up with green smudges, Bob Roberts with evening dress complete with hooks in the lapel, Zenia and Joe as the Flintstones (with roles reversed) Joe looked very fetching in his skirt, Read more ... |
