Welcome to the new, bigger, Zyg’s section where I write about, how shall I say, the fun and games and great fishing we all enjoy here at Anglers Paradise also some of my worldwide exploits. Diary Extracts
All the villas are currently being spring cleaned and painted in readiness for the seasons start, we have quite a number of villas booked for the next few weeks, It’s going to feel like an early summer, although we had an distinctly un-summery snow/sleet flurry the other day (It’s only rain that never falls in Devon)
Work is speeding along on the redevelopment of Nest/Wishing Well and Retreat. On the fishing front, Shaun Hobbs staying in Anglers Access had fish to 24lb from the Main Lake, also two of the 5’C’S syndicate had four good doubles topped with Pete Evans catching a nice 21lb Common again from the Main Lake. Coarse lakes are producing well with the best Tench to date at 5½ lbs.
On the day ticket front Nirvana Fat Boys lake produced 2 good doubles whilst Eldorado has recently produced Carp to 16lb along with a 7lb Catfish.
During March we welcome back carp angling guru Frank Warwick together with Ardy Veltkamp a Dutch angler (www.ardyveltkamp.com)
There are now no 2-person villas available during June and July with very little availability on other villas during the summer months. In view of this I will do a special deal on Anglers Delight for 2 people during May and June.
Why not join me on my 45th birthday (it says so on my fishing licence) week commencing 3rd May, we have a Disco planned along with plenty of the fizzy stuff, we even have guests coming from Canada for the occasion it should be a good do.
Please remember we are still doing short breaks until the end of April subject to availability.
