The reception staff are there to help. If you have a question query or problem then please come to us at the reception and someone will always be on hand to help!
The reception is open 9am – 5pm everyday but on Sundays it is open at 9am – 12pm midday. If there is an emergency then please still ring and we will do our best to help. Please call us on 01409 221559 and we will answer your call as soon as we can.
When you arrive you will need to check yourself into the Reception. We advise all customers to arrive between 2pm – 4pm, however we endeavour to be ready by 1pm. If you are coming on a short break or week out of season then please enquire before as you maybe able to check in earlier.
On arrival we will take your name, car registration and then we will welcome you with a glass of Zyggy’s famous Wine or a glass of Lemonade. You will be informed as to events throughout the week and then you will sort out the fishing. The weekly budget ticket of £20 for one rod or £30 for 2 rods, this covers you for 9 Lakes. The Specimen Tench and Orfe Lake, Specimen Carp and Koi Lake are separate and so is night fishing. To book night fishing or any of the other Lakes you can book them at the reception, tackle shop or in the bar.
You’ll be pleased to know that as Anglers Paradise Guests you will get all our Day Ticket Lakes Half Price if you would like to try something different.
At the end of your stay you will need to check out, by checking out all you need to do is hand your key in at the reception. Check out time is no later than 10am on the day of your departure. If you are leaving in the early hours or late hours then please just put the key in the black post box which is situated outside at the front entrance of the reception, please ask if unsure.
As long as you have left your villa in a satisfactory state, we will put your refundable deposit back on the card used to pay the final balance, normally on the Tuesday after your departure (unless you are on a short break where it may be on a different day, please ask if needed sooner). If you would like to book again then you can use your refundable deposit towards your next holiday so just let the staff at the reception know and they will hold it back for you ready for your next booking (plus if you book early for next year, you still get it at this year’s prices, so BOOK NOW!)
At the Reception you can access Wi-fi, all you need to do is ask a member of staff for the code. Just outside reception there is an undercover area with table and chairs, you can also access Wi-fi throughout the bar when it is open. Please ask if you need any assistance. We are currently looking to get Wi-fi in the Villas but it’s going to be a big job, so watch this space! Please remember we are extremely limited in our bandwidth so internet connection is limited.
We have a wide variety of leaflets in the Reception of local places and attractions to visit, if you would like any advice or recommendations then please just ask a member of staff as we have been to many and can point you in the right direction.
We also have a selection of Books and Puzzles that you can borrow, just let us know what you have borrowed, where you are staying and then just bring them back when you have finished (as long as it is before you go home!!)
If you catch one of the following then you qualify to win a bottle of wine which will be presented to you on friday night, make sure you are there or you will miss out!!
If you have caught one or more of these fish or even bigger, then you MUST give us your pictures in at reception and log your catch into our Log book. It is limited to 3 bottles per person as anglers are just catching too many and Zyggy can’t make the wine fast enough!!!
For those of you that are under 18 then we will present you with a soft drink alternative, but if you don’t qualify but have caught something you think is worthy of a prize then come and tell us at the reception and you never know!!!

We would hate to think you had a problem during your stay and didn’t inform us. Please always come to the reception if there is anything you are unhappy with or need fixing then come and tell us and we will do our best to sort it for you, no matter how big or small!
